Pickleball was created in 1965 by Joel Pritchard and two of his friends in an attempt to entertain their families. They attempted to set up a game of Badminton but didn't have a shuttlecock so they improvised and thus Pickleball was born.
It is said that their love of the sport even made the Pritchard family name their dog after the game; Pickles. Now the fastest growing racket sport in the UK and the named sport of Washington, US where it was first created.
