Classic Football Shirt Design from Nike
For season 2023/24, Nike’s vision for the new home Barcelona kit is to return to the classic shirt design introduced in 1912 and used until the ‘90s. Featuring two wide red stripes on the front and red sleeves, the classic stripes have a subtle yet inspiring pattern engrained. The Nike logo and Spotify sponsor logo appear in white.
Inspired by the Barcelona Femeni Women’s Team
That unique pattern within the stripes of the new Barca kit is a nod to what is now the Barcelona Femeni women’s team. Inspired by the old diamond logo of the club, the women’s team at Barcelona have been equally a fearsome opponent and huge inspiration in growing the women’s game. In January 2023, they became the first football team to win 50 consecutive league games.
