Warriors by name & warriors by nature - the Glasgow Warriors made history last season, reaching their first ever European Final. Although that ended in a painful defeat, the new season is here and it promises to be a big one.
The Rugby union side, who have been professional for over 27 years, play their home games out of Scotstoun Stadium, local neighbours to us here at Greaves Sports. What Happened in the Challenge Cup Final?
After recording a resounding 35-17 victory over Scarlets in the EPCR Challenge Cup semi final, the Warriors took on RC Toulon on the 20th of May at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Unfortunately for the Warrior Nation, Toulon won the game 43-19 in front of a huge crowd of 31,514.
Backing the Glasgow Warriors in Season 23/24
The Warriors are renowned for a fast, aggressive style of rugby, and the stunning new kits will hope to bring more success into the new season. Coached by Franco Smith and led by team captain Kyle Steyn, the Warriors will compete again in the United Rugby Championship, having finished 4th in last season's league competition.
