The Biggest Women’s Football Tournaments Coming Up in 2023

2023 Women’s Finalissima
Location: Wembley Stadium, London
This is the first edition of the 2023 Women’s Finalissima - the one off final which sees the winner of the 2022 Women’s Euros (England) face the winner of the 2022 Copa America Femenina (Brazil).
2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League
Location: Philips Stadion, Eindhoven
Played in June, the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League will be the 22nd final held. The 2022 final saw Lyon claim their 8th title, beating Barcelona 3-1 at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.
2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup
Date: 20/7/23 - 20/8/23
Location: Australia & New Zealand
In the 9th edition of the quadrennial FIFA Women’s World Cup, the United States of America will be hoping to defend their title in the final in Sydney this year. Unfortunately, Scotland’s women’s football team won’t be there, having lost 1-0 in the play off final to the Republic of Ireland.
2023 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Euros
Date: 18/7/23 - 30/7/23
Eight of Europe’s best U19 women’s international teams will compete for the UEFA Women’s Under 19s EUROS in Belgium in 2023. This is the 20th U19 Euros which have been held. UEFA Euro 2022 Women’s Under-19 Championships were won by Spain who defeated Norway in the final.
2023 Women’s Scottish Cup Final
Location: Hampden Park, Glasgow
Season 21/22 saw Celtic Women win the first Scottish Cup contested in 3 years due to Covid-19 in extra time vs Hearts at Tynecastle. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first ever official Scotland Women’s Football national team match this year, the growth of the women’s game in Scotland is strong, alongside a very competitive SWPL.
2023 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Femenina
Date: 5/10/23 - 21/10/23
The 15th CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Femenia tournament will be held in Colombia and see 16 of the best South American women’s club football teams compete for the title. Palmeiras are the current holders of the title
