A famous racehorse owner and one-time British Prime Minister, Lord Rosebery once held the even more prestigious title of Honorary President of the Scottish FA.
His influence became very visible in 1881 when Scotland took to the field against England wearing his trademark Primrose & Pink racing colours instead of the usual dark blue jersey. They beat England 6-1
that day. They wore the colours again against England in 1900, this time only beating them 4-1.
